Umbilical Assemblies

The UMC umbilical assemblies are designed to complement our range of connectors. In many applications our customers have had to make their own hose assemblies to transfer the air from point A to B. The detailed range is designed to allow swift relaible connection of up to 16 tubes in up to 50 metre lengths.

• Units are available with one of three styles of conduit / hose (see below).
• Units can come assembled with multi tube connectors or simply conduit fittings ( these connections are always IP rated swivel joints, for full specifications see the data herewith).
• Umbilicals can be specified in many standard configurations please see overleaf.

What style of conduit or hose should I chose?

Type SN

Standard weight black polyamide (nylon) conduit is both flame retardant and halogen free, making this high performance conduit particularly well suited to application where safety is paramount. SN conduit is suited where crush resistance & weight is a consideration. The SN is our most popular conduit due to its flexibilty, strength and cost.

Type SPC

A general purpose PVC covered conduit that is used extensively in collaboration with rigid conduit and trunking. The versatility of this conduit enables the user to combat dynamic, static and weatherproof requirements with ease. However, it is heavy than the SN and less resistant to crushing.

Type SS

This conduit is designed for use with our stainless range of connectors, it offers excellent resistance to contaminanys and physical damage, it is the heaviest available and also the most costly.
